Ms. Hannah Smith
Owner & Director
Ms. Hannah grew up in Birmingham, Alabama, before moving to Austin in 2016. She earned her degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Early Childhood Education from the University of Alabama and has spent more than sixteen years working in early childhood education.
As the owner of The Rosedale Preschool, Hannah is passionate about creating a warm, welcoming community where children can learn through play, exploration, and meaningful connections. She feels incredibly fortunate to work alongside dedicated educators and partner with families during such an important stage of their children's lives.
In her free time, Hannah enjoys traveling, walking, practicing yoga, and spending time with family and friends.
Mrs. Emily
Assistant Director
Mrs. Emily has dedicated over ten years to early childhood education, with a strong passion for play-based and nature-inspired learning. As Assistant Director, she supports our teachers, children, and families while helping ensure the school runs smoothly each day. Emily is committed to fostering a warm, nurturing environment where children can thrive and educators feel supported.
Outside of school, Emily enjoys baking, practicing yoga, and spending as much time outdoors as possible. She lives with her husband, Andrew, their daughter, Norah, and their beloved pets
Mrs. Tracie
Lead Toddler Teacher
Mrs. Tracie recently relocated back to Austin (1996-2018) from Leander, TX (2018-2023) and she is happy to back. She has taught all ages from infants - school age in her 20+ years of working in Early Childcare and even held positions as a Director and Assistant Director. Her true passion is being with children and watching them grow and have fun. You might catch her playing, singing or dancing with your child. In her free time, Mrs. Tracie enjoys spending time with her husband of 23 years, her daughter who attends UT and their sweet cat Nova. She also loves to craft, putt putt golf and trying new eateries around Austin.
Mrs. Marina
Lead 2’s & 3’s Teacher
Mrs. Marina has several years of experience working with children in nurturing and supportive environments and is passionate about creating a safe, welcoming space where children can learn and grow through daily activities and play. Her calm and caring approach helps children feel comfortable, confident, and supported as they explore their world.
Mrs. Marina is originally from Brazil and speaks four languages: English, Portuguese, Italian and Spanish. She is excited to bring her language skills into the classroom in meaningful and age-appropriate ways. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, exploring new places, and reading.
Ms. Macey
Lead Preschool Teacher
Ms. Macey is passionate about creating a warm, nurturing classroom where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. She believes children learn best through play, exploration, and meaningful experiences that encourage curiosity and creativity. With over 15 years of experience working with children, Macey brings a wealth of knowledge and a thoughtful, play-based approach to the classroom.
Macey holds a degree in Early Childhood Education and most recently worked as a Lead Teacher at a NAEYC-accredited early childhood program here in Austin. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys practicing yoga, camping, and gardening. She loves spending time outdoors and bringing that same sense of curiosity, calm, and wonder into her work with children.
Ms. Ella
Assistant Preschool Teacher
Ms. Ella is passionate about creating a warm, supportive classroom where children feel encouraged to learn, explore, and grow. She recently graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Psychology and brings two years of experience working as an Assistant Teacher at a local preschool. Ella brings enthusiasm, patience, and a fresh perspective to the classroom. She loves building meaningful relationships with children and helping create a fun and engaging environment where every child feels supported.
Mrs. Karine
Assistant Teacher/Floater
Ms. Karine is originally from Brazil and has a degree in Nursing. Her background has given her a sense of care, patience, and attention to others, which she brings into the classroom each day. As an assistant teacher/floater, she supports the classroom throughout the day, helping with activities and daily routines.
In her free time, Karine enjoys staying active, traveling, and spending time with her husband and friends and continuing to learn and grow in English.
Ms. Anessa
Assistant Teacher
Ms. Anessa brings over six years of experience working with children in a variety of early childhood and childcare settings. As our Floater and Closing Teacher, she supports classrooms throughout the day and helps provide a familiar, caring presence during our afternoon hours. Anessa enjoys building relationships with children and helping them feel confident, comfortable, and excited to learn. Her warm personality and genuine love for working with children make her a wonderful addition to our team.
